About the job

You will work in close collaboration with your purchasing colleagues at Forsmark, as well as with buyers at Ringhals, as we have extensive cooperation. Currently, we have a total of approximately 35 employees evenly distributed between Forsmark and Ringhals, with a balanced mix of women and men. You will primarily represent Forsmark, but also Ringhals and, in the long term, Vattenfall, in various types of business relationships. Your internal contacts (outside the purchasing unit) will mainly be directed towards ordering units within Forsmark and Ringhals. Externally, your contacts will primarily be with our suppliers. The role involves travel, both for meetings with suppliers and between Vattenfall's sites, Forsmark and Ringhals.

In tenders, you drive the entire process from start to finish, which includes analyzing the supplier market, selecting the procurement method, preparing request documents, negotiating with and evaluating suppliers in close collaboration with the internal client, and finalizing the contract. You will handle complex, business-critical tenders that require a holistic and proactive approach.

You monitor suppliers' compliance with contract terms, handle contract changes, and resolve disputes regarding contract interpretation. You contribute to the development of the procurement process and are responsible for procurement strategies within your area. Documenting your ongoing purchasing work is a given.

Collaboration with corresponding functions within the Vattenfall Group to analyze and develop joint business opportunities is also part of the assignment.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who has:

• A relevant university or college degree (economic or technical focus) or equivalent work experience with substantial experience in the field
• The ability to drive complex negotiations and create long-term business relationships in an international environment
• Experience in drafting commercial contracts and good knowledge of commercial contract law
• Fluent and good knowledge of both Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Merits

• Experience working with documentation management systems and business systems (ERP) is an advantage. Vattenfall uses SAP.

To succeed in the role, you need to be strategic, have a high degree of business acumen, and be able to act independently. The work involves largely communication and negotiations with external suppliers, which means it is important that you are business-minded, communicative, and act according to Vattenfall's Code of Conduct. You are driven and engaged by building and maintaining relationships with internal ordering units and external suppliers. You have analytical skills, take initiative, and act proactively to identify opportunities for improvement.
