Job Description

As a security guard, you have a genuine desire to build good relationships and respect everyone, regardless of background. You are employed by Securitas, but work under the regulations of the Police Authority. Your main task is to make people feel safe in their daily lives. You do this by being present at our clients' locations, hopefully providing a calming effect, but if the situation requires it, you are expected to take action.

This role is suitable for you if you enjoy working with people and want to make a socially important contribution. We have a strong sense of community and broad experience among our colleagues, which enables us to handle almost anything. If you want to become part of a tight-knit team, this is the job for you.

This is a resource position, which means you will work at several client sites. It is a varied role in terms of both location and working hours, as you are expected to step in where needed. Primarily, you will work day shifts Monday–Friday, but evening shifts and weekend work occur occasionally. Therefore, we prefer that you are flexible with your working hours. The clients you are expected to work for are located centrally in Stockholm or in western/northern suburbs.

Requirements

We are looking for you who are a confident and stable person who can remain calm even when much is happening around you. You are humble, team-oriented, and service-minded in interactions with the public, but you also understand the responsibility in your role and can remain objective when required. Great importance will be attached to your personal suitability for the position.

• You have a security guard education and a valid security guard permit.
• Approved grades in Swedish from the first year of upper secondary school.
• Good knowledge of English.
• Category B driver's license.

• The position is a full-time employment with start date as agreed. We apply a 6-month probation period.
• We use selection tests.

For employment within Securitas Sverige AB, you are required to have approved grades from the first year of upper secondary school in Swedish and be approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on Security Companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be required. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements for approval according to the respective legislation, a background check is conducted. The assessment concerns law-abidingness, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from yourself, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment when reviewing suitability for each position.

Salary and employment conditions are based on collective agreements between the employer organization Säkerhetsföretagen and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
