SiS youth home Stigby on Visingsö has space for 35 young people and receives non-compulsory school-age boys with psychosocial issues, criminality, and substance abuse. We are divided into an MBB unit (reception and needs assessment), four treatment units, and a discharge preparation unit in Jönköping.

Job Description

We are looking for a versatile and solution-oriented colleague for a combined role as IT Administrator and Building Technician, with special responsibility for fire safety and security systems. In this role, you will be a key person ensuring that our facilities, security systems, and IT environment function smoothly, while contributing to a safe and secure environment for our employees and young people.

Part of your working time will focus on ensuring the proper functioning of technical security systems, such as access control systems, alarms, and lock systems. The position also includes IT support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of technical equipment such as computers, mobile phones, tablets, printers, and TV equipment. Duties include administrative support in the form of managing user accounts, service cards, access permissions, and key management systems, as well as ordering and reporting faults for phones, computers, and subscriptions. You will have close contact with our system suppliers as well as our security and IT support at the headquarters.

In the role of Building Technician, you have overall responsibility for supervision, maintenance, and upkeep of the buildings on the premises, as well as rectifying reported faults. You handle fault reports to the property owner and/or repairers according to a defined division of responsibilities list. The work also includes systematic fire safety work together with our security coordinator. Ordering and follow-up of contractors is included, as is being the contact person for craftsmen. Furthermore, you are responsible for waste management and contact with the contractor for green areas and snow removal.

Working hours are during the day.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with previous experience in IT administration and/or work as a building technician. You should have good knowledge and experience in IT operations, technical systems, and troubleshooting of computers, printers, networks, and other technical equipment. You also need to have a good understanding of IT security, account management, and basic GDPR principles.

You thrive in a changing environment and have the ability to adapt to new conditions. You treat colleagues, contractors, suppliers, and other partners in a professional and humble manner. It is important that you can independently plan, prioritize, and take responsibility for your tasks. We are looking for someone who is proactive, service-oriented, orderly, and has good teamwork skills. You have personal maturity, thrive in an environment with many contact points, and are a team player without ego.

In your daily work, you will encounter young people, which places demands on you as an adult role model. Therefore, great importance will be attached to personal suitability in the appointment.

Requirements:

• Education as a property, operations, or maintenance technician, or at least a completed upper secondary education from a relevant vocational and/or IT-oriented program, or other education that the employer considers equivalent
• Previous work experience in IT and/or as a building technician
• You must be able to express yourself well in speech and writing
• Good understanding of confidentiality and security
• Category B driver's license

Employment:

The position is a permanent full-time position and begins with a six-month probationary period.
