We are now recruiting experienced assistant nurses with medical experience to the municipal primary care/home care.

Do you want to work with qualified health and medical care tasks in an independent and varied job – and help shape how we conduct care in the future? We are now looking for experienced assistant nurses with medical experience. With us, you work close to the patient in their home environment with a clear focus on health and medical care tasks, in close collaboration with nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and other care staff. We are moving towards an organization with stronger patient continuity and in-depth interventions within dementia care and palliative care. You will enter a stage where you can influence how this takes shape.

Job Responsibilities

The role is broad with a clear medical focus. You work with delegated HSL (Health and Social Care Act) tasks in close collaboration with the responsible nurse. The tasks vary depending on the patient's needs and may include:

  • Sample collection
  • Wound care and dressing changes
  • Monitoring vital parameters
  • Medication distribution
  • Compression therapy and leg bandaging
  • Observation and reporting of the patient's condition
  • Handling of urinary catheters and suprapubic catheters
  • Dressing changes of infusions
  • Bladder scan
  • Administration of pre-filled injections
  • Management of PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy)
  • Assistance during vaccination

This is a job that requires precision, medical safety, and the ability to clearly communicate observations to the responsible nurse.

For documentation and record keeping, we use Lifecare and Cosmic Link. Experience with these systems is an advantage, but we always offer a thorough introduction.

We are looking for you who

  • Are confident with medical tasks and used to working with delegated HSL interventions
  • Observe and report changes in the patient's condition with precision
  • Work independently and take responsibility, but know when to consult with the nurse
  • Have a good attitude and put the patient first

Qualifications

  • Trained assistant nurse
  • Good familiarity with delegated HSL interventions
  • Specialist assistant nurse in dementia care, palliative care, or other relevant specialization is an advantage
  • Category B driver's license required (manual transmission)

Employment type: Permanent.
Duration: Permanent.
Working hours: The position is scheduled for daytime hours according to the roster.
