Job Description

Security Guards play a key role in maintaining security at Sweden's most critical national infrastructure sites. These protected objects, such as military facilities, government agencies, energy plants, and other critical societal functions, are crucial for our society to function. Disruptions or attacks on these can have serious consequences for the entire country.

Security Guards have authority and are specially trained to identify and prevent various types of threats, such as unauthorized intrusions, sabotage, and unauthorized documentation of sensitive areas. These incidents can pose significant security risks.

We are now looking for several Security Guards on a needs basis for our Security division, where you work to protect important and critical societal operations. In this role, you are offered not only meaningful work but also the chance to become part of a larger context where your work is crucial for Sweden's security.

This is a role for you with high integrity, good judgment, and a strong security awareness. You understand the seriousness of the mission and take responsibility for acting correctly even under pressure.

We would like you to have a few years of relevant work experience, preferably from a security-related service or another role where responsibility, reliability, and judgment were central.

Employment: The position is a temporary/needs-based employment.

Working Hours: We are looking for personnel for all shift rosters, Monday to Friday, with both day and night shifts.

When working shifts, you primarily work 12-hour shifts. You will complement our team on a temporary basis (hourly substitute).

Location: The position involves work at several locations in Stockholm.

You will, for example:

• Staff the monitoring and control center
• Ensure that unauthorized persons are not granted access to the protected object
• Conduct internal and external patrols within the area
• Be responsible for vehicle searches and transport control
• Work proactively with security and protective measures in and around the protected object

Requirements:

• Approved grades in Swedish and English from the first year of high school
• Swedish citizenship
• Category B driver's license

Qualifications:

• Professional experience from the security industry or similar operations
• Trained as a civilian or military Security Guard
• Training in HAS (Health, Safety, and Environment)
• Experience with vehicle searches
• Good physical condition
• Passed security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585)

Training

If Securitas chooses to proceed with your application, the training may be assigned as part of the recruitment process. If you are a military Security Guard, it is usually validatable for civilian use.

Security Clearance

As part of the recruitment process, you will undergo a security clearance interview, in accordance with current security protection legislation. To be offered employment, you must pass the security clearance, including an assessment of your personal suitability and loyalty.

Depending on the position, security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to the respective legislation, a background check is conducted. The assessment concerns law-abidingness, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from yourself, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment when testing suitability for each position.

Salary and employment conditions are based on collective agreements between the employer organization Säkerhetsföretagen and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
