RESPONSIBILITIES

Ljungby Municipality offers the right person the opportunity to further develop operations together with engaged and competent employees.

The assignment involves contributing to shaping the municipality's future together with residents, businesses, organizations, and associations. Ljungby is characterized by proximity and good conditions for collaboration across organizational boundaries, where cooperation is a key success factor.

As Municipal Director, you are responsible for leading and developing operations in line with the municipality's Vision 2035, on behalf of the political leadership. Together with the organization's managers and employees, you create good conditions for development and results, and lead work where openness, transparency, and shared responsibility are in focus.

The assignment includes ensuring a group-wide working method where the entire organization, including departments and companies, collaborates to meet the needs of residents and contribute to strengthening Ljungby Municipality's attractiveness as a place to live, work, and thrive.

As Municipal Director, you are also the Administrative Director of the Municipal Executive Office and are responsible for developing its role as a clear support and coordinating function for the entire organization. The Municipal Director is also the CEO of Ljungby Holding AB.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have a relevant academic education from a university or college and experience leading complex organizations in the public sector at a senior management level. You have experience leading other managers and are accustomed to working closely with political leadership, giving you a good understanding of the interplay between politics and the professional staff organization.

You have good knowledge of the Local Government Act as well as other relevant laws and regulations within the public sector and municipal companies. You also have basic knowledge of public finance and good knowledge of the Swedish language.

As a leader, you are secure, clear, and stable. You combine a trust-based approach with the ability to create structure and follow up on operations against set goals. You have good communication skills and create shared vision, trust, and engagement in the organization through your leadership.

You are relationship-oriented, decisive, and have the ability to handle complex issues with a clear holistic perspective.
