Nurse for Södertälje Municipality's Nurse On-Call Service – Fixed-term Position

We are currently looking for a nurse for the Health and Medical Services Department's nurse on-call service for evening and night shifts. The position involves a split schedule covering both evenings and nights.

In this role, you will work together with your colleagues to ensure safe care and patient safety during on-call hours. There are three nurses on duty during the evenings and two during the nights. The nurse on-call service provides health and medical care at the municipality's special housing facilities, short-term care units, LSS (Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) housing, and within social psychiatry. This is a fixed-term position with the possibility of extension.

About the Job

We are based at Artursberg, from where you will make both planned and emergency visits to patients. The work is patient-centered and includes, among other things, following up on and executing prescriptions, making individual assessments, and carrying out measures based on these assessments.

A key part of the role is also to support and mentor nursing staff in the various operations.

With us, you will have a free and varied job where no two days are alike. The work allows for reflection between interventions, supported by an accessible leadership that contributes to a good work environment.

Working hours are scheduled for evenings and nights, seven days a week, and we apply an individual preference schedule.

A Day at Work

As a nurse, you will play an important role with us. Your duties include, among other things:

• Providing health and medical care based on the individual's needs.
• Contributing to ensuring and developing the team's capabilities.
• Mentoring and supporting nursing staff.
• Participating in quality improvement work.
• Keeping up-to-date with research and development within the field of health and medical care.
• Collaborating closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality health and medical care around the clock.
• Working from a salutogenic perspective, meaning we focus on what preserves health rather than what causes illness.

Who Are You?

Requirements:

• You are a licensed nurse with at least two years of experience.
• You must be able to communicate well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• You have good knowledge of documentation and IT skills.
• You have a valid driver's license (Category B).

Merits:

• Previous experience in municipal health and medical care.
• Experience working as a nurse in an on-call service.
• Specialized education in district nursing, elderly care, or psychiatry.
