The Swedish Parliament Administration is an authority tasked with facilitating the work of the Riksdag (Swedish Parliament). Approximately 700 politically neutral employees work at the Swedish Parliament Administration, handling a wide variety of tasks.
Do you want to be part of a team working to protect Sweden's security by ensuring safety and accessibility in one of the country's most important institutions for a functioning democracy?
We are now looking for an additional Control and Alarm Operator for the Security Department of the Swedish Parliament Administration. You should be accustomed to working in an event-driven operation and thrive in having a central role in the authority's operational activities.
Your Responsibilities
As an operational surveillance supervisor, you create and update an operational situation picture. You coordinate resources from your own team and collaborating partners. You are expected to act both independently and in collaboration with your colleagues to detect and limit the consequences of security incidents at an early stage. If necessary, you are also expected to take on a leadership role and act as a foreman. Additionally, you participate in various projects and contribute to continuous development work within our organization.
Your Qualifications
The candidate we are looking for should have upper secondary education, or education or experience assessed as equivalent. Furthermore, experience in security work is required, for example from the security industry, the Swedish Armed Forces, the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, the Swedish Customs Service, the Swedish Police Authority, or other work involving management, alarm handling, and surveillance.
Training as a security guard and HAS (Security Management System) training is meritorious. Instructor competence and experience in conducting training in subjects such as communications, alarm handling, camera surveillance, and creating an operational command picture are also meritorious.
The position places high demands on your awareness of security and confidentiality. We are looking for someone who is resilient, vigilant, and meticulous in their work, while also having the ability to switch very quickly to new tasks and conditions when the situation requires it. You are expected to be structured, have a well-developed holistic view, and have a genuine interest in societal issues in general and in the work of the Riksdag specifically.
You are the humble colleague who wishes to join a driven and developmental group, where the group's successes are valued higher than individual achievements. You need to be good at communicating and collaborating effectively with others. You should be interested in meeting people and have personal maturity and integrity, while also being unpretentious and solution-focused. Furthermore, you should be able to express yourself well both orally and in writing in both Swedish and English, and have an aptitude for absorbing both oral and written information.
The position is classified at a security level, which in this case requires Swedish citizenship and a passed security clearance check. Selection tests will be conducted by the Swedish National Board of Technical and Economic Affairs (Plikt- och prövningsverket) before employment. The position is subject to wartime posting.
Employee engagement is important to us. Working with us means you are expected to act in accordance with our view of employee engagement: achieving results, developing, and collaborating.
The Swedish Parliament Administration applies a probationary period.
We welcome applicants with different experiences and backgrounds.
- Employment type: Permanent
