Your Role

As a Systems Safety Engineer within Saab Dynamics, you will play a crucial role in the safety case development required for a technical system to be approved for use. You will work closely with colleagues and project teams, jointly working to develop and maintain Saab's portfolio of products. Among other things, you will have the opportunity to collaborate across several disciplines, such as mechanics, electronics, procurement, and production, which will give you a broad network.

Your role extends beyond merely identifying risks; you will be responsible for analyzing and minimizing system risks to prevent potential accidents that could cause harm to people, property, or the environment. These analyses cover the entire lifecycle of the system, meaning you will delve into mechanical design, hardware and software functionalities, and understand the interaction with users and other external systems. This also means you will dive deep into design and construction analyses, requirements specification, and verification documentation to achieve a safe system.

Your Profile

As a person, you are detail-oriented but also able to see the big picture. You are curious, and it comes naturally to you to drive your own work forward, both independently and in collaboration with your colleagues. You enjoy working systematically with processes, analyses, and documentation and have a strong interest in systems safety, technology, software, electronics, and/or mechanics. You communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both written and verbally.

The following criteria are meritorious but not mandatory:

• Previous experience working with analyses, documentation, or processes
• You have completed higher education, preferably in technology, mechanics, electronics, or software
• Through previous work or studies, you have encountered tasks within systems or systems safety
• Interest in underlying system architecture and construction

The position requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance checks according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
