We offer a key role as Area Manager, where you are responsible for one of our six production areas within Ground Combat. Here, we drive advanced production with a focus on assembly, testing, quality assurance, component manufacturing, logistics, and continuous improvement. Our operations are characterized by high tempo, technical cutting-edge solutions, and uncompromising demands on quality and safety.

Your Role

As Area Manager, you will hold a central position in further developing an already strong operation - with the goal of becoming: "Saab's safest, most attractive, and highest-performing production organization."

You lead and coach other managers with clear drive and a genuine focus on people. As a natural part of the Ground Combat Production leadership team, you help set the direction, make decisions, and drive the organization forward - both operationally and strategically.

Your main areas of responsibility include, among other things:

• Ensuring that resources, capacity, and competence are in place to meet delivery requirements
• Driving and developing production flows with a focus on efficiency and quality
• Strengthening the understanding of business and production processes
• Ensuring continuous improvement and optimized resource utilization
• Being responsible for the area's long-term profitability and results

You lead several managers and play a crucial role in creating engagement, collaboration, and strong, value-driven leadership where the entire organization works towards common goals.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have solid leadership experience, preferably with responsibility for leading other managers. You have experience from production operations, preferably serial production. You have a good technical understanding and the ability to handle complex operations.

Through your strong communication skills, you create engagement and clarity. You have an open and inclusive leadership style where dialogue, collaboration, and participation are a natural part of everyday life. You are proficient in Swedish and English, both in speech and writing.

Travel is part of the position as the operations are located in several places.

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
