Do you want to lead a business where commerce, technology, and people are closely intertwined, where you also get to work closely with both the business and the people to create long-term development?
At Actemium in Örebro, you get that opportunity.
Here, you will become the Business Unit Manager in a company working close to socially critical infrastructure within power and automation, with a focus on high voltage, medium voltage, and backup power. At the same time, the core of the assignment is about something else: creating direction, bringing people along, and further developing an already well-functioning unit.
"This is a role where you really need to thrive in a broad sense. You are close to the business, the projects, and the people, and that is where the action happens."
– Martin Dahlström, Perimeter Director Sweden Industry Mid
A role with overall responsibility
As Business Unit Manager, you have the overall responsibility for leading, driving, and developing the business together with your employees.
You have a broad responsibility spanning leadership, economics, commercial issues, and employees. You are responsible for results, budget, and follow-up, but also for setting structure, creating direction, and ensuring that the business is run according to common working methods and requirements. The role involves a high degree of autonomy, where you as Business Unit Manager have the mandate to make decisions and drive the business based on your SSP (Shared Strategic Plan) or business plan, which is built on local conditions. At the same time, you need to create a clear overview and direction forward, where you identify new business opportunities, take initiative on which projects to bid on, and ensure that the business develops sustainably over time.
You follow the projects all the way, from planning to execution and further to follow-up. An important part is ensuring they are delivered with the right technical quality, within given timeframes, and with control over both economics, working environment, and safety.
The role also includes close interaction with other parts of the group, where you contribute to common working methods and a clear structure, while simultaneously driving your own unit forward.
Leadership – where you make a difference
A large part of the role is about leading people.
You have personnel responsibility for the unit and are responsible for ensuring the right competence is in place, both today and in the future. You create conditions for development, identify training needs, and ensure that the team grows in tandem with the business.
But above all, it is about how you lead in everyday life.
You drive the work forward together with others. You build trust over time, are present in what is happening, and create engagement in the group. It is also about building a culture where trust is central and where you delegate authority, create accountability, and help people grow in their roles.
"We believe in leadership that grows. You don't need to come in and change everything, but rather understand what works and build on that - and in that, build the trust that makes people take responsibility and develop."
– Martin Dahlström
