Nacka Senior Center is looking for dedicated assistant nurses who want to ensure safe and person-centered care for our residents. Your Role

Nacka Senior Center consists of four residential facilities located in Finntorp, Ektorp, Saltsjöbaden, and Saltsjö-Boo. Each facility has both somatic and dementia-oriented wards, social activities, day activities, and its own kitchen with meals prepared from scratch.

As a summer substitute/assistant nurse at Nacka Senior Center, you contribute to creating a safe, dignified, and meaningful everyday life for our residents.

You work closely with residents, relatives, and colleagues, and plan care based on individual needs and wishes. The focus is on person-centered care, where self-determination, participation, and quality of life are central.

Tasks include care and nursing, simpler care interventions, supervision, alarm handling, and documentation. You also participate in activities, care meals, and work with contact person duties.

Working hours include days, evenings, and weekends, scheduled between 07:00–21:00. We would like you to start as soon as possible and work on a fixed schedule for at least 6 weeks during the period from mid-June to the end of September.

Requirements for the position

You must have:

• Professional certificate or complete grades as an assistant nurse
• Several years of experience working in elderly care
• Experience and knowledge of low-affective interaction
• Previous delegation for tube feeding, insulin, and medication
• Ability to make independent nursing assessments
• Knowledge of dementia diseases and interaction
• Documentation habits
• Very good Swedish in speech and writing
• You must be at least 18 years old

Meritorious: Knowledge of how to take vital parameters and sampling, for example, blood tests.

You have good collaboration skills, a professional interaction, and the ability to meet customers with empathy, sensitivity, and respect. The work involves lifting and moving, which requires good physical fitness. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Nacka Senior Center is a meeting place for seniors and the municipal alternative for elderly care in Nacka Municipality. Our four senior centers are located in Ektorp, Finntorp, Saltsjöbaden, and Saltsjö-Boo. All facilities offer social activities, care, and nursing, and have fully equipped kitchens where chefs and kitchen assistants prepare meals from scratch. As a substitute, you are employed by Staff Competence Provision within Nacka Municipality, which is responsible for coordinating and quality-assuring the staffing of care personnel during short-term absence and monthly substitutes. As a summer substitute, you will work at one or more of our facilities depending on how much you want to work this summer. We offer you the opportunity to work as an hourly substitute both before and after your summer substitute period.
