The waste management department is responsible for the collection of household waste and recyclables, commercial waste, as well as the collection of sludge, fat, and oil.

We are now looking for summer workers. As a main rule, you will belong to one of the districts and ride along on one of our garbage trucks to collect waste around Uddevalla Municipality – while simultaneously becoming part of the entire Waste Management team and supporting wherever the needs are greatest.

Your Main Responsibilities

Working hours are on weekdays, and some weekend work may occur. You will:

• Collect waste, recyclables, and perform deliveries and services for Waste Management's customers
• Participate in improvement work together with the team
• Contribute to quality assurance of materials and good documentation
• Be responsible for daily supervision, maintenance, and regular washing of vehicles
• Use digital work tools and platforms in daily life
• Follow current safety and environmental routines

Qualifications

You have good teamwork skills and thrive in customer-facing work. The role requires flexibility, a service-oriented attitude, and clear communication. The work is partly physical and takes place outdoors, which demands good physical fitness and the ability to enjoy working outside in all weather conditions. You take responsibility for both your tasks and the team's, contributing to a good work climate. You have good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, and thrive in a values-driven operation where professional, engaged, resource-smart, and inclusive are the keywords of everyday life.

Merits:

• Experience as a driver with a C-license and YKB (professional competence certificate)
• Local knowledge of Uddevalla Municipality
