About the Department

The Surgical Department at Sundsvall Hospital has 15 operating rooms, including rooms with associated preparation areas and a central sterile supply department (CSSD). The department also features a hybrid operating room. As a county hospital with 24/7 operations, we specialize in orthopedics, surgery, otolaryngology (ENT), gynecology and obstetrics, and urology. Currently, we have a total of 78 positions consisting of nursing assistants, operating room nurses, and anesthetic nurses. We are now looking for three operating room nurses to join our team.

As an operating room nurse, you will work across all our specialties. It is a varied and stimulating job with high demands for flexibility and initiative. You will work in teams where colleagues care for one another and strive for a good working environment.

The positions are permanent full-time employment with start dates to be agreed upon.

Responsibilities

You will perform standard duties for an operating room nurse, which include among other things:

• Independently responsible for systematically planning and organizing work in connection with surgical procedures.
• Ensuring that hygienic and aseptic principles are met.
• Preventing the spread of infection.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who

• Are a registered nurse with specialist education in perioperative nursing.
• Have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing.

It is an advantage if you

• Have good knowledge of English in both speech and writing.
