Your role

Here, you will work with the most complex structures for submarines, surface ships, and other naval systems. Welcome to our exciting and technology-intensive world!

We are now looking for welders and sheet metal workers for our unique production of the latest technology submarines and surface ships at one of the world's most modern shipyards.

In your role, you will work with new installations, maintenance, and repairs. We use a wide range of welding methods, from MIG/MAG/MMA to TIG and robotic welding, with material thicknesses over 10 mm, which puts your competence and professional skills to the test.

In your role as a welder and heavy sheet metal worker, you will encounter a variety of special steels used in submarine manufacturing. Your profile

To fit the role of Welder with us, you have:

• Work experience in welding with different welding methods
• Experience with welding method 136
• Experience with welding method 141 or 111
• Education or equivalent experience in welding materials thicker than 10 mm
• Experience in reading technical drawings
• Flexibility, teamwork skills, initiative, and orderliness
• Computer literacy
• At least 5 years of experience in welding work

To fit the role of Heavy Sheet Metal Worker with us, you have:

• Experience in heavy sheet metal work and welding
• Experience in manufacturing and assembly of steel structures
• Industrial technical high school education
• Good knowledge of reading technical drawings
• Experience with welding methods 136, 141, and 111 in material thicknesses over 20 mm
• Flexibility, teamwork skills, initiative, and orderliness
• Computer literacy
• At least 5 years of experience in sheet metal work

Advantageous qualifications:

• Welding licenses
• Experience in preheating materials
• Experience in gas cutting
• Hot work permits
• Experience in carbon arc gouging/chipping
• Previous work in material group 3
• Previous work in the shipbuilding industry or other heavy welding industries

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
