About the Operations

Ward M77 is a general psychiatric inpatient ward within Psychiatric Care South West with 17 beds. We treat patients with all common psychiatric diagnoses, often in connection with crisis, suicidal tendencies, severe anxiety, depression, trauma, or other complex psychiatric issues.

Our care is characterized by a person-centered approach, structured psychiatric nursing, and close collaboration between nursing assistants, nurses, doctors, and other professions. We actively work with patient safety, participation, and recovery, using Safewards as the foundation of our work.

Job Responsibilities

Psychiatric nursing and teamwork are central parts of the nursing assistant's role at M77. As a nursing assistant, you work closely with patients throughout their care period and are a key part of creating safety, structure, and continuity on the ward.

The work is varied and includes among other things:

• Psychiatric nursing and support in the patient's recovery
• Observations and supervision based on the patient's current care needs
• Motivational and supportive conversations in daily life
• Support in activities, meals, and daily living
• Participation in care planning and teamwork
• Documentation in the medical record system
• Practical tasks that contribute to a safe and well-functioning care environment
• Participation in the ward's development and improvement work

The job places high demands on flexibility, judgment, and the ability to meet people in difficult life situations. No two days are alike, and you need to thrive in an environment where the pace is sometimes high, while quality, attitude, and safety are always at the center.

Qualifications

• Certificate of protected professional title for nursing assistants or an employer's certificate confirming that you had a permanent position as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023, in accordance with the transitional provisions (2021:739) of the Patient Safety Act (2010:659).

We are looking for you who

• Are a trained nursing assistant with a protected professional title
• Have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
• Have an interest in or experience with psychiatric nursing
• Enjoy working closely with patients and building trusting relationships
• Have good teamwork skills and appreciate working in multidisciplinary teams
• Are responsible, flexible, and secure
• Enjoy working in a high-paced environment with varied tasks

Experience working in psychiatry, inpatient care, or other 24/7 operations is meritorious.

Employment Type

Permanent position, full-time 100%.

Rotating schedule with day, evening, and weekend shifts. Work two out of five weekends.
