Welcome to us

Kämpetorpsskolan is centrally located in Älvsjö with good transport links (both commuter train and bus). The school is a comprehensive school (grades 1-9) with approximately 940 students.

We are currently about 130 staff members working at the school with a common goal: to make the school the best it can be for the students who attend. We have a Student Health Team consisting of four special education teachers, counselors, study and career guidance counselors, a school psychologist, and two school nurses.

At our school, the school nurses work closely together, meaning you will have a very close colleague. The school doctor is on-site one day a week and works closely with our school nurses.

Your role

The school nurse's mission is to collaborate with the school leadership and other staff in the Student Health Team (SHT) to create the best possible conditions for students' learning, development, and health.

A large part of the mission falls within the so-called "base program," but we would welcome it if the school nurses at the school also contribute in other ways to the preventive and health-promoting student health work at the school.

Together with the school doctor, and in consultation with the school leadership, you are responsible for organizing the medical interventions of the student health service at the school. The work involves collaboration with students, guardians, and other staff at the school. The role also includes collaboration with organizations and authorities outside the school.

The City of Stockholm uses Prorenata as its medical record system.

Your qualifications and experience

We would prefer that you have prior experience working as a school nurse. To succeed in this role, it is important that you are skilled at building relationships and connecting with people. In the school environment, unexpected events may occur that disrupt daily plans, so a certain degree of flexibility is necessary.

You need to be independent and well-organized in your work.

It is an advantage if you have previously worked in the Prorenata medical record system as well as the PMO system.

Education requirements

Licensed nurse with one of the following specialist nurse educations:

• Specialist Nurse Programme – District Nurse 75 ECTS
• Specialist Nurse Programme – Child and Adolescent Health 60 ECTS
• Specialist Nurse Programme – School Nurse 60 ECTS
