Team Leader for Meat Department – Grocery Store in Botkyrka

About the role

As the team leader for the meat department, you are responsible for a team of ten people. You are the master butcher who is passionate about beef and lamb, and you have the ability to recommend and inspire both customers and colleagues. You work actively with preparation, sales, and merchandising of meat products, ensuring that the department maintains the highest quality and service standards.

You have overall responsibility for the self-control system, including temperature checks and documentation. You plan staffing and ensure that operations run smoothly, including evenings and weekends according to a rotating schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the team in the meat department
• Ensure high quality of meat and customer service
• Recommend products and inspire cooking
• Responsible for self-control, temperature checks, and documentation
• Plan and staff the department
• Contribute to a pleasant and orderly work environment

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with meat and food products, preferably as a butcher or similar role
• Good knowledge of beef and lamb
• Understanding of self-control systems and documentation
• Experience in leading teams is an advantage
• Organized and responsible
