Occupational Therapist Wanted for Home Care – Summer Assignment 2026

Are you an occupational therapist who thrives in independent work, enjoys varied patient interactions, and values close collaboration with the care team?

We are now looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist for a longer-term assignment within home care and specialized housing during the summer of 2026.

About the Assignment

You will work with rehabilitation and home care, focusing on patients in ordinary housing as well as specialized housing for the elderly.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Standard occupational therapy work within home care
• Assessments of activity capacity and living environment
• Prescription and fitting of assistive devices
• Mobility assessments and application of mobility techniques
• Issuing certificates for housing adaptations
• Supervision of nursing staff regarding assistive devices and mobility
• Documentation and follow-up

The work is based at the rehabilitation unit's premises and is carried out in close collaboration with other professions within the organization.

Working Hours

• Daytime
• Working hours approx. 07:30–16:15
• Some flexibility in working hours is available

Period & Scope

• Period: Week 25–36
• Scope: Full-time, 100%

We are looking for someone who

• Is a licensed Occupational Therapist
• Has experience in home care or municipal rehabilitation
• Is confident in making independent assessments and prioritizations
• Has experience with prescribing assistive devices
• Has good collaboration skills and a professional attitude
• Has a valid driver's license (Category B)

Meritorious experience:

• Experience in specialized housing for the elderly
• Experience with mobility techniques
• Experience with the Combine medical record system

Introduction

An introduction session is offered before regular work begins to ensure security and good prerequisites for the role.

Requirements for Presentation

The following documents must be available for the presentation:

• Updated CV
• Two written references, at least one from a manager
• Copy of driver's license
• Candidate's contact details
• Any desired vacation time during the assignment period

Please note that a certificate of good conduct (background check) will be required before the assignment starts.
