We are now looking for a colleague for us at the Child and Adolescent Habilitation at Gällivare Hospital. In addition to this position, there are two other psychologists and experienced colleagues from several professional categories with a strong sense of team spirit and cohesion. We are a well-staffed unit with a good working environment.

We are looking for

We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist, preferably with a few years of experience, who wants to work within Child Habilitation and child medicine.

You understand your own role and see the big picture, which allows you to consider the broader perspective in your decisions.

What you will work with

The target group for habilitation is children and adolescents with congenital or acquired disabilities. We work in a multidisciplinary team consisting of psychologists, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, and doctors. We also collaborate with dietitians and speech therapists, as well as Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (BUP). Good cooperation between professional groups is essential for quality in working with patients and their relatives/network. Interventions are planned based on the habilitation plan created together with the child and their close ones. With our interventions, we aim to reduce the difficulties that disabilities may cause in daily life, create conditions for a good life, and participation in society. In our work, we start from each individual's unique needs and conditions.

As a psychologist, you work with investigating and diagnosing development-related disabilities, counseling parents and networks based on the consequences of the disability, as well as individual psychological treatment. The psychologist also regularly participates in team conferences for collaboration with other professional groups and network meetings for collaboration with other authorities. Education and supervision are also included in the position. Travel may occur within the catchment area.

The Child Habilitation in Norrbotten is in an intensive development phase where we work systematically with, among other things, knowledge updates to improve care and our interventions.

Information about the position

We offer permanent full-time employment, daytime hours. Start date according to agreement. Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreement.
