The National Archives of Sweden (Riksarkivet) is now seeking production assistants for the digitization production in Fränsta.

The positions are located at the Digitization Unit (DIT). Here, we have been conducting large-scale, high-quality, and cost-effective digitization of the National Archives' archival documents as well as cultural heritage materials from other authorities and public organizations since the late 1990s.

About the role

In your role as a production assistant, you will perform various tasks within the process of digitizing analog material. The process includes, for example, preparation, scanning, and quality control. Several steps involve physical work combined with digital operational support. You will switch between different tasks and assignments and follow instructions based on the customer's requirements. All tasks are linked to performance goals that are measured and followed up. The tasks can be repetitive and sometimes involve heavy lifting.

You will work together with around 30 colleagues in the same role who share their competence and experience, and there is always someone to ask for advice. There are opportunities for development within the different parts of the process.

The work is scheduled during daytime hours 08:00-16:30 with flexibility options between 06:00-09:00. Shift work may occur if needed.

About you

We are looking for you who have:

• Computer skills

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience working with digital images
• Experience in digitization work with cultural heritage materials
• Post-secondary education

You are quality-conscious, solution-focused, and have high work capacity. You are flexible and can quickly adapt to new tasks when needed. You have good communication skills and contribute to a good work climate.
