We are proud of Trollhättan City's over 5,000 employees, who make a positive difference in our residents' lives every day and contribute to developing the city's sustainability and vitality. We are driven and motivated by the keywords: Courage, Participation, Innovation, and Action. Here you will find exciting development opportunities where you can help make our city even better.
About the Role
The Local Care operations are part of the Service Administration. Through our services, we develop the city and increase the well-being of our residents, on behalf of the city's administrations and our municipal companies. We are approximately 400 employees who ensure our premises are intact and clean, serve meals to students and residents, and keep the city's parks beautiful and blooming. We are now looking to replace one of our local care workers in the pool.
Responsibilities
As a Local Care worker with us at the Service Administration, you will primarily work with cleaning schools, preschools, nursing homes, offices, as well as units within Culture and Leisure. The role also includes work in our Service Team at our Production Kitchens, which involves a combination of local care, laundry, inventory management, dishwashing, and transportation. You will be part of a pool service, meaning you will have a primary placement at a suitable unit within the city. However, when vacancies arise elsewhere, you will travel to those locations to replace permanent local care workers or meal assistants during their absence. The positions are located throughout Trollhättan Municipality, meaning no two days are alike, whether in terms of location or tasks. In some cases, you may replace employees who work part-time within meal services at our schools and preschools.
Trollhättan City offers good development opportunities for its employees. We care about your well-being and therefore offer a wellness allowance.
Qualifications
For this position, you are required to have education and experience within local care/cleaning. In addition to daily cleaning of our units, you will work with deep cleaning and floor care. The work is physical and requires good fitness.
Education such as SRY or PRYL, or other education deemed equivalent, along with experience in operating cleaning machines and cleaning robots, is meritorious. Experience and education within meal services are also considered meritorious.
As a person, you have a good sense of service and provide a welcoming attitude. You need to be flexible and accustomed to working in a team. The role requires you to be self-reliant and accustomed to taking initiative. You have good habits in working with digital tools such as phones, iPads, and computers. You can express yourself well both verbally and in writing. You appreciate that no two days are the same and that your workplaces vary.
Selection and interviews take place continuously throughout the application period.
