Matmissionen is Stockholm City Mission's social grocery stores that are good for both people and the environment. The range consists exclusively of goods at risk of becoming waste and donated from the grocery industry. By working with us, you contribute to reduced food waste and enable our members to buy food at low prices. Matmissionen also helps people into working life as we offer a unique work training site by being the only food chain run by the non-profit sector without profit motive.

Matmissionen currently has nine stores in the Stockholm area; Jakobsberg, Hägersten, Hallunda, Handen, Kista, Vällingby, Rågsved, Södertälje, and Norrtälje. The placement for this position is in Södertälje. At Matmissionen, one of the main purposes is to help people who are far from the labor market into working life. Coaching employees and colleagues is part of all roles. In the role of store employee, the following tasks are also included:

• Checkout service and customer service
• Act as a greeter, and assist with opening the store
• Sort and pick up goods
• Price goods
• Clean store and warehouse
• Perform date and temperature checks
• Teach store tasks to participants in work training

We are looking for you who:

• Have experience from the food industry
• Enjoy working together with other people and offering good service
• Are flexible and accustomed to taking responsibility and taking initiative within given frameworks
• Are meticulous, patient, and stress-resistant
• Speak fluent Swedish, and preferably additional languages
• Identify with Stockholm City Mission's value base
