Nymölla Mill is looking for a Development Engineer with a focus on Energy

Sylvamo Nymölla Mill is located two miles east of Kristianstad in Bromölla Municipality. The mill produces paper pulp using the magnesium sulfite process and uncoated fine paper. Multicopy is our best-known product. The production capacity is 340,000 tons of pulp and 475,000 tons of fine paper.

We are now looking for a driven, innovative, and proactive colleague to join our development department!

The development department works on the development of products, processes, environment, energy, and productivity.

What do we offer you?

We offer a challenging and exciting job where you work long-term on varied areas. You will belong to a small work group where paths to collegial support are short.

You will have the opportunity to be driving and/or involved in projects to develop and improve products and production processes. You will have close communication with other departments within the mill and globally within Sylvamo. In your role, you will focus on energy optimization and be driving in various projects related to cost efficiency in the area. To succeed in this, we believe you see opportunities and have an eye for a broader process perspective.

About the position

As a Development Engineer with a focus on energy at Nymölla Mill, you belong to a small department that works as a resource for the entire mill. You will have the opportunity for a varied workday where you create new projects by driving development yourself.

The daily work involves independently driving projects and investigations, as well as working with cost efficiency with a special focus on energy.

The Development Engineer also contributes to introducing new technology and knowledge into the company.

Who are you?

As a person, you are driven, structured, creative, and self-starting. You are team-oriented and communicative. You have worked for a few years in the field and feel confident in driving development processes.

Your knowledge and experience

We are looking for you who have an engineering degree or university degree, with a focus on energy and/or process technology or other education that can be considered equivalent. You preferably have about 5 years of experience in the profession. If you have a professional career in the pulp and paper industry and experience working in a project form, it is meritorious. You express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English. Experience working with Six Sigma/Lean is also meritorious.
