Welcome to Tallink Silja Line! Working on board involves varied tasks, responsibilities, collaboration, and development. We are now looking for a responsible Second Officer for a permanent position on board the Silja Symphony. The duties include, among other things, watchkeeping, loading and unloading, safety drills, and working in accordance with current regulations and procedures.

We are looking for you who:

• Hold a valid license (Class II) and relevant certificates/safety courses.
• Are familiar with regulations concerning a safe environment and your own responsibility within the ship's safety organization.
• Have the ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team.
• Are responsible, engaged, and positive.
• Ambitious to develop in the role and obtain master's license.

Once employed on board, you will be part of the safety organization; therefore, it is important that you have good physical fitness. To work on board, you must be resident in Sweden, hold citizenship in an EU/EEA country, possess a valid seafarer's medical certificate, and a passport. Background checks are conducted as part of the recruitment process, and alcohol and drug tests may be performed in accordance with our safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment on board.

The position is a full-time permanent employment under the 2:3 agreement, with a 6-month probation period. Immediate start, with onboarding as agreed. Salary according to collective agreement.
