We are now looking for an Operational Buyer for our purchasing organization in Halmstad, who will work with purchases for our four warehouses in Umeå, Enköping, Norrköping, and Halmstad.

Within Martin & Servera Logistics AB, the Operational Purchasing function handles an assortment of over 45,000 articles and purchases goods worth approximately 10 billion SEK annually. The function's mission is to optimize product availability to meet our customers' needs and requirements, as well as to enable efficient warehouse management through an optimized flow into and between our warehouses. The function consists of approximately 50 employees in Halmstad and Norrköping.

About the role

As an Operational Buyer, you are responsible for ensuring volumes reach Martin & Servera's end customers. In your daily work, you will collaborate closely with both internal and external contacts. Internal contacts include, besides your own organization, primarily Sales, Category & Purchasing, Customer Service, and our goods receiving departments. The external contacts are mainly with our suppliers.

You are responsible for ensuring the right volumes in your portfolio and that your suppliers deliver on time so that deliveries from Martin & Servera to the end customer can take place on schedule. Your main tasks consist of purchasing articles for Martin & Servera's warehouses daily, as well as ensuring that inventory turnover remains within reasonable limits. Analysis, follow-up, and action plans related to key performance indicators (KPIs) are an important part of the recurring work, conducted both internally within the department and in collaboration with the Category & Purchasing department.

What you will do:

• Develop supplier behavior within the function's framework to ensure delivery security to our warehouses
• Participate in planning assortments, volumes, and timing for seasonal changes
• Responsible for purchasing goods from selected suppliers to our warehouses in Sweden
• Develop logistics solutions in collaboration with others within the logistics company
• Create and develop optimal service levels, stock-out rates, and inventory turnover speed

What we are looking for in you:

We are looking for someone with strong self-drive who takes initiative in their work. You are result-oriented, structured, and work in an analytical and business-minded way to develop and improve purchasing operations. The role places high demands on teamwork skills as you work closely with several different functions in the organization. Therefore, you are communicative, pedagogical, and have an easy time building good relationships, both internally and externally. You thrive in teams, contribute to the whole, and have a natural sense of service. You are meticulous and responsible, have an easy time working with different systems, and thrive in a changing daily routine where you quickly adapt to new ways of working and tools.

To succeed, we believe you have:

• Post-secondary education in logistics, economics, or equivalent competence and experience
• Experience in purchasing work
• Experience with operational business and forecasting systems
• Good knowledge of the Office package
• Knowledge of Power BI is a merit

Experience working in purchasing systems with forecasting capabilities is a merit.
