Do you want to help develop future sustainable travel and create better travel experiences for thousands of people?

We are looking for an engaged and solution-oriented consultant who wants to contribute to increasing wayfinding, accessibility, attractiveness, and safety in the station environments along the Mittbanan line.

This is a development-oriented assignment where you will have the opportunity to combine technology, user perspectives, and societal development to create smarter and more accessible transfer points for public transport travelers.

About the Assignment

The assignment aims to reduce barriers and increase accessibility to sustainable travel in the Mittstråket region by developing concepts for physical signage and investigating new and existing technical solutions, such as real-time information.

The work builds on previously conducted investigations and analyses along the Mittbanan line and focuses on improving travelers' experiences through clearer information, better wayfinding, and increased safety in the station environments.

The consultant is also expected to contribute with own ideas and innovative solutions that strengthen the assignment's goals and long-term effects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build on previous investigations and analyses
  Continue working based on data and recommendations from the project "Develop Transfer Points along Road/Railway along Mittbanan".
• Develop concepts for physical signage
  Create proposals for clear, inclusive, and user-friendly signage that strengthens wayfinding for travelers.
• Investigate and evaluate technical solutions
  Analyze existing and new solutions for real-time information and other digital information channels.
• Improve accessibility and wayfinding
  Identify measures that facilitate travelers' movement and information retrieval.
• Contribute to increased safety and attractiveness
  Create solutions that strengthen the experience of the station environments along the Mittbanan line.
• Collaborate with relevant actors
  Work together with municipalities, transport operators, project organizations, and other stakeholders.
• Document and present results
  Develop concepts, analyses, recommendations, and decision-making materials.
• Contribute with innovation and development
  Present proposals for new or existing technical solutions that can contribute to the assignment's purpose and goals.

We believe you have

• Experience of projects within mobility, public transport, or societal development
• Experience of wayfinding, signage, or user-oriented information design
• Understanding of accessibility issues and inclusive design
• Experience of real-time information, digital information solutions, or smart city environments
• Experience of concept development and needs analysis
• Ability to translate strategic goals into concrete solutions
• Good experience collaborating with various stakeholders
• Strong communication skills in speech and writing
• Experience in the public sector, infrastructure, traffic, or urban planning is meritorious
• A creative, analytical, and solution-oriented approach to work
