About the position

The neonatal care at Astrid Lindgren's Children's Hospital is for you who want to work in an operation where development, innovation, and highly specialized care are in focus. The nursing area of Neonatology consists of three units at Karolinska University Hospital in Solna and Huddinge, as well as at Danderyd Hospital, where we work in close cooperation with each other.

We are approximately 400 employees and are now looking for nurses for our operations in Solna. Here we care for children born from gestational week 22 and onwards, and we also have a national assignment within neonatal surgery.

Here you work in an advanced care environment where you care for premature and sick newborns, both in acute phases and during longer care periods. You work in a family-centered manner with the goal of minimizing separation and creating conditions for the child to be close to their parents around the clock.

You lead and actively participate in nursing work together with an interdisciplinary team and work with advanced medical technology equipment.

The operation also has its own transport organization, ANTS, staffed by doctors and nurses from the neonatal unit. ANTS is responsible for transporting premature and sick newborns between hospitals throughout Sweden.

The neonatal operation runs around the clock and we apply the Swedish Nurses' Association's 24/7 agreement, which means three-shift work including weekends.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Swedish nursing license.

Merits:

• Experience working in neonatal care, intensive care, or pediatric care.
• Specialist education in intensive care or child and youth health.
• Midwife license.
