Psykosvård Stockholm is a newly established unit within the Stockholm County Council (SLSO). Here, we consolidate care for patients over 18 years old with psychotic illnesses into one organizational unit. We offer assessment, investigation, and treatment according to national guidelines and regional care programs. Within Psykosvård Stockholm, we conduct development work, education, and research regarding psychotic illnesses. We work in multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible care and treatment around the patient.
We are now looking for a Nurse for Ward 4.
About the Unit
Ward 4 has 14 care beds, one of which is reserved for voluntary admission. As a nurse, you will receive training in voluntary admission and subsequently be responsible for the admission and discharge of these patients. The ward is located at the S:t Göran Hospital area, centrally situated close to the city's pulse and with good transport connections.
We are committed to conveying a humanistic value base and creating a dignified care environment for our patients. The ward is multidisciplinary and consists of nurses, healthcare assistants, assistant nurses, doctors, and social workers. By offering supportive conversations, we encourage our patients to engage in activities, exercise, and maintain healthy eating habits.
The ward works with Safewards, a method to secure care for patients and strengthen their ability to influence which activities the ward will offer. As a nurse, you can influence which Safewards initiatives are prioritized.
Responsibilities
As a nurse, you have a central role as a team leader with primary responsibility for psychiatric and somatic nursing care. Your tasks include standard nursing duties such as offering conversations, participating in or leading rounds and care planning, supervising students, medication management, sample collection, and documentation in the electronic health record systems Takecare and Lifecare. The role also involves close collaboration with outpatient clinics.
Qualifications
You are a licensed nurse with an interest in psychiatric care. Previous experience in psychiatric care or specialist training in psychiatry is advantageous. Personal suitability is highly valued.
As a person, you are positive, creative, solution-focused, and responsible. You have good collaboration skills and are loyal to your mission, but above all, you have a strong interest in working with patients suffering from psychotic illnesses.
We offer you
The position involves day and evening shifts, as well as scheduled work on 2 out of 5 weekends. As an employer, we care about our employees' health and well-being and offer among other things:
- Flexible working hours
- Competence development
- Free healthcare in outpatient care
- Generous wellness allowance (5,000 SEK/year)
- Retention bonus – after one year of employment, an annual time bank of 40 hours (at full-time) is added, which can be taken as leave, money, or extra pension savings.
The introduction is tailored to individual needs.
We look forward to receiving your application!
The position will be filled provided it does not need to be used for internal reassignment, according to current regulations.
