We are now looking for nursing assistants for both somatic care and departments with a cognitive focus. You will work according to a rolling schedule with day shifts, evening shifts, and every other weekend.

About the operations

Väsbygården is one of Vallentuna Municipality's two special housing facilities operated in-house. The operations consist of seven departments with different focuses within somatic care, cognitive illness, and short-term placement.

Here, you work in an engaged and cross-professional team together with nursing assistants, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, dietitians, activity coaches, and unit managers. We value close collaboration where each profession contributes its competence to create safety, participation, and a meaningful everyday life for our residents.

Tasks:

As a nursing assistant in a department focusing on housing with severe cognitive impairment or somatic care, you work to provide individually adapted care and support based on implementation plans/BPSD. The role also involves having a contact person responsibility for selected residents. You also work as a representative within a selected quality area (diet, activities, relatives/values, safety, palliative care, documentation, and hygiene).

As a nursing assistant, you perform delegated health and medical care tasks and work in a person-centered manner, promoting participation and independence. Furthermore, you document according to current guidelines and contribute to a good working environment and good collaboration in the team. You also contribute to the operations' goals through your individually set goals in your development plan, which is planned with the unit manager. Working with operational development is an ongoing part of your work.

Qualifications:

• Completed nursing assistant education with a protected professional title.
• Experience working in a department for cognitive impairment and/or somatic care.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
