Capio Care for the Homeless, a 24-hour care unit located at Vårberg Hospital, is looking for a Registered Nurse for a scheduled position covering days, evenings, and weekends.
The unit has 12 care beds with the mission to care for patients with somatic illnesses, often in combination with mental health issues, cognitive impairment, and/or substance abuse problems. Common diagnoses include heart failure, hypertension, COPD, diabetes, leg ulcers, infections, aftercare of injuries such as fractures or various types of surgeries, and cancer care.
Low-affective interaction is fundamental to a functioning care relationship, as this patient group often lacks positive experiences from previous healthcare encounters. We focus on offering accessible and coordinated care for this vulnerable target group, collaborating with other healthcare providers, social services, and relatives.
The work group consists of nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, care coordinators, unit manager, occupational therapist, and physiotherapist. A well-functioning teamwork is a prerequisite for safe patient care and a good working environment. We value a welcoming workplace where we help and support each other.
Your Role
As a nurse on the unit, you collaborate with the rest of the team regarding patient care and have a leading role. The work involves managing the electronic health record systems Life Care and Take Care.
We Offer You
- Mentorship/Supervision
- Collective agreement and pension plan
- Competence development, both internal and external
- Wellness allowance
- Benefit bicycle scheme
- Free public healthcare
- Friday breakfast
- An inclusive workplace where we learn from each other
- Subsidized staff parking
About You
You are a Registered Nurse with experience in somatic care. Experience in psychiatry and addiction care is considered an asset. We place great emphasis on you having a genuine interest in this patient group.
Employment Terms: Full-time position. Full-time equivalent is 37 hours/week, with two weekends out of five. Start date by agreement. 6-month probation period.
Application
Interviews are conducted on a rolling basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Therefore, the ad may be removed earlier than planned, so don't wait – submit your application today.
A background check and extract from the criminal record may be requested in connection with employment.
We look forward to hearing from you!
