About the position

As a night nurse here, you work in a team with colleagues from different professional categories to meet each patient's unique needs. You also have an important leadership function where you ensure that the patient's care is continuously advanced. As a team leader and role model on the ward, you have your own patient responsibility. Your duties also include supporting relatives, taking samples, dispensing medication, and documenting in the medical record system Take Care.

Our expectations of you

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse and have an interest in psychiatric inpatient care. Previous experience of psychiatric care and/or specialist training in psychiatry is meritorious. Good knowledge of Swedish, equivalent to at least level C1, is a requirement.

The work on the ward is varied and eventful, which means you need to have the ability to handle different situations with an open and solution-oriented mind. You thrive in collaborating in teams where different professional categories meet and are happy to share your experience and knowledge. At the same time, you always put the patient's needs at the center. Your ability to see opportunities and act with care in every unique situation is of great importance to us. We place great emphasis on your experience and personal suitability.

About us

Our inpatient care consists of two wards, ward 34 and 36, with 16 care spots each. We treat patients according to HSL and LPT. On ward 34, there is also a separate operation with two sobering-up spots where we treat patients admitted under LOB. Nurses, nursing assistants, social workers, and doctors work on the wards. We receive patients from all diagnostic groups, which makes the work varied and very interesting.

Psychiatric Center Södertälje is a specialist psychiatric clinic within the Stockholm County Council (SLSO). The clinic has three outpatient units and two inpatient wards. With our 220 employees, we are a small clinic where you get the opportunity to influence and develop the operations.

Employment type

Permanent position, full-time, night shift.
The working time is approx. 32 hours/week.
Probationary employment may be applied.

The position will be filled subject to it not needing to be taken for internal reassignment, according to current regulations.

In patient-related work within Stockholm County Council (SLSO):

  • A register check is applied before a decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register checks upon employment.
  • Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employment examination, according to current directives, which takes place through occupational health services before employment.
  • Requires, in addition to Swedish professional licensure, good knowledge of the Swedish language equivalent to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The same requirement is guiding for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
