Are you a technically minded machine assembler who enjoys screwing, building, and solving problems? At Manpower, we are currently looking for machine assemblers for an exciting consulting assignment at an industrial company in Alingsås. The assignment starts in June and lasts for a couple of months, with a potential for extension. Here you will work with unique, state-of-the-art machines alongside dedicated and knowledgeable colleagues.
Location: Alingsås
Start: June
Duration: A couple of months
Other information: The work is primarily performed on-site in Alingsås. Travel within and outside Sweden may occur in connection with installations.
About the job
As a machine assembler, you work with building and assembling complete machines and production equipment based on 3D data and your own designs. The work involves mechanics, electricity, and pneumatics, and the machines can consist of robots, linear units, precision mechanics, as well as heavier mechanics. Since many machines are customer-specific, problem-solving, testing, and in some cases, on-site installation at the customer's premises are included.
The work is carried out in a project format, and you collaborate closely with colleagues in assembly and design. In this role, you may also take on responsibility as an assembly leader, leading the work together with other internal or hired assemblers.
Examples of tasks:
- Assembly of machines and production equipment within mechanics, electricity, and pneumatics
- Building machines based on 3D drawings and technical documentation
- Troubleshooting, problem-solving, and adjustment of machines
- Testing and verification of finished equipment
- Customer installations, both within and outside Sweden
- Collaboration in projects, sometimes with leading responsibility in assembly
Who we are looking for
We are looking for you who are practical, technically curious, and thrive with varied tasks. You are driven, want to get things done, and find it easy to work both independently and in a team. You have a genuine interest in technology and in building, tinkering, and understanding how things work.
Your background could be as a workshop mechanic, maintenance technician, service technician, or similar. You may have several years of experience in the field, but we also welcome those who are more junior and have the right attitude and willingness to learn.
We see that you have:
- Upper secondary education in electricity, technology, mechanics, or equivalent
- Experience in workshop work or assembly of machines/industrial equipment
- Good computer skills
- Driver's license category B
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
