ABOUT YOU

You are warmly welcome to an exciting manufacturing company in Upplands-Väsby, where we handle most of the manufacturing in-house. We manufacture baking ovens, with a large portion of our sales occurring via export.

We are looking for a Production Manager for our CNC-controlled production. You will play a leading role in driving development forward, as increased automation is a prioritized area for the company.

Location: Upplands-Väsby.

Your Responsibilities

You will have overall responsibility for all CNC production and related tasks. This involves leading, organizing, and motivating resources in the best possible way to ensure that tasks are completed on time, to the expected quality, and in a safe manner.

Maintenance is a direct responsibility of this role, both reactive and preventive, in collaboration with employees.

We are in a development phase where we are restructuring our operations to work with a more takt-based flow. A key part of this work is implementing an optimized production system (OPS) for our Salvagnini punching line, as well as producing to order (kitting) instead of for stock.

The role includes overall responsibility for this work with support from both internal and external resources.

The automation journey also means that more projects may become relevant, such as robotic welding, among others.

Tasks

You must ensure a high service level in the department for the following:

  • Automated line for punching, panel bending, and edge pressing.
  • Responsibility for the department's implementation of OPS and kitting during ongoing projects.
  • Standalone punching and edge pressing (being phased out).
  • Production technology within the area; continuously working on production technical improvements regarding safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Define and document work methods and, if necessary, detailed work instructions.
  • Implement 5S and LEAN together with other departments.
  • Ensure that guidelines, rules, and working methods/procedures are followed and further developed in consultation with the nearest manager.
  • Responsible for personnel matters such as leave, overtime, and disciplinary measures.
  • Conduct development interviews, salary reviews, and competence development.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects.

Competence Requirements

  • Post-secondary education with a technical focus or equivalent experience assessed by the employer.
  • Experience in automated sheet metal processing and programming/CAM.
  • Experience with ERP/MPS systems for a production operation.
  • 5 years of work experience in the area of responsibility.
  • Documented leadership experience; ability to instruct, present, and give feedback.
  • Knowledge of MS programs.
  • Fluent Swedish and English in speech and writing.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.

Merits

  • Electrical knowledge, mechanical competence, and competence in hydraulics.
  • Knowledge of automation and robotic welding.
  • Experience with OPS.
