Your Role

In the sheet metal and welding workshop at Saab Kockums Muskö, you will be part of a team where everyone plays a crucial role in the goal of completing the Navy's vessels and making them seaworthy.

You will have a variety of tasks, with a focus on renovation and conversion. Your initiative and creative solutions play a key role for vessels of different ages and sizes. The work is varied, and you will be given excellent opportunities to develop your craftsmanship and professional knowledge.

Examples of tasks include:

• Welding and sheet metal work during vessel renovation and conversion
• Manufacturing of one-off components
• Inspections of e.g., anchor chains, life raft arrangements, etc.
• Various workshop tasks

The work is performed both onboard vessels and in the workshop. Domestic travel may occur. Working hours are during the day, and shift work may be required.

Requirements:

• Experience in industry or workshop environments
• Basic knowledge of welding and sheet metal work
• Strong interest in technology
• Valid driver's license (Category B)

The position requires the ability to communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

The role requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance checks applicable at the time. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
