Operating Room Nurse Needed for Long-Term Autumn Assignment

Are you an operating room nurse who thrives in a broad and varied surgical environment involving both emergency and elective surgery?

We are currently seeking experienced operating room nurses for a long-term assignment during autumn 2026.

About the Assignment

You will work within a comprehensive surgical department encompassing several surgical specialties. The department provides both emergency and planned surgical care with varying patient flows and a strong medical focus.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Instrumentation during surgeries
• Perioperative nursing care
• Sterile handling and surgical preparation
• Collaboration in multidisciplinary surgical teams
• Work in both emergency and elective surgery

The department is looking for you if you have broad competence and can work across several surgical areas.

Potential Specialties

• Emergency Orthopedics
• Emergency Surgery
• Cesarean sections and obstetric procedures
• Other surgical specialties within emergency services

Work Environment

You will work in a dynamic and developing environment where flexibility, teamwork, and clinical confidence are key attributes. Working hours may include days, evenings, weekends, and on-call duties according to the schedule.

Duration & Scope

• Duration: Week 36–48
• Scope: Approximately 1,804 hours
• Working hours according to schedule, including evenings, weekends, and on-call

We are looking for someone who

• Is a licensed nurse with specialist education in operating room nursing
• Has recent experience from surgical departments
• Is confident in instrumentation across several surgical specialties
• Has experience in emergency surgical services
• Can work independently and as part of a team
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment with varying surgical flows

Merits:

• Experience in orthopedics and emergency surgery
• Experience in obstetric surgeries/operating rooms
• Experience from larger surgical units

Requirements for Presentation

The following documents must be available for the presentation:

• Updated CV
• Specialist Nurse degree in operating room nursing
• Adult CPR certification
• Two current references from the most recent assignment or employment
