Real DDD, hands-on cloud, data-heavy domain — and AI in the toolbox.

At Qronos, you build business-critical backend systems for our clients. The complexity is real, the domains require deep thinking, and decision paths are short.

In this role, you work in cross-functional, agile DevOps teams on both new development and modernization. Backend development in C# / .NET is at the heart of the role, but you are also proficient in SQL, data design, and cloud architecture. You design services using microservices architecture, model domains via DDD, CQRS, and Onion Architecture, and build solutions in Azure that stand the test of time.

Technical Focus

• C# / .NET — microservices, CQRS, Domain-Driven Design, Onion Architecture
• Dependency injection, SOLID principles, and design patterns applied in production
• Azure cloud: Cosmos DB, Azure DevOps, Docker, KQL
• Deep dive into MSSQL: stored procedures, functions, views, CTEs, query optimization, SSIS
• Message systems (Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, or equivalent)
• Data engineering proximity via Databricks
• Unit testing (xUnit / NUnit, Moq), code quality (SonarQube, ReSharper), modern CI/CD

Highly Desirable: AI-Driven Development

We are looking for developers who think AI-first in their daily craft:

• Daily use of AI tools in workflow — code completion, test generation, code review, documentation
• Has strong opinions on where AI makes developers faster and where it creates technical debt
• Experience integrating AI functionality into production systems (RAG, LLM-API, MCP)
• Builds or has built agentic solutions — where LLMs drive real workflows, not just chat responses
• Wants to help shape how AI is integrated into business-critical development

Who We Are Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a backend developer in production
• Tech-heavy and passionate — code is your craft, not just your job
• Speaks DDD with substance — not buzzwords, but application in complex domains
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, design principles, and database optimization
• Takes ownership of tasks and drives them forward independently — you own your delivery
• Curious and inquisitive — thrives in complex environments and finds answers yourself
• Enjoys technical coding tests and deep technical interviews — you enjoy talking real code
• Experienced with agile ways of working (Scrum, Kanban) and DevOps culture
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• EU citizenship or valid work permit within the EU (required in the financial sector for background checks)
• Extra plus: experience from regulated industries (banking, insurance, fintech)
