Stora Hammars School is a comprehensive school (grades F-9) with approximately 500 students. We also operate Stora Hammars Preschool with around 100 children, for whom we deliver meals daily, along with a staff of approximately 90 educators and teachers.

The kitchen at Stora Hammar is an award-winning school restaurant that has received over 20 nominations in Sweden's largest competitions for public meals over the last 10 years.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a kitchen assistant, you will have varied and diverse tasks in the kitchen, including handling supplies, preparing salads, packing, dishwashing, and cleaning the kitchen premises.

At Stora Hammar, it is of utmost importance to us to provide excellent service and put the diner at the center of our focus.

Being self-reliant, stress-resistant, cheerful, and meticulous are key cornerstones of our work culture in the Stora Hammar kitchen.

You will be part of a team with other professional chefs who prepare delicious and sustainable food every day, with a focus on reducing food waste.

As a kitchen assistant at Stora Hammar, you will prepare the daily salad buffet, prepare snacks, work at the dishwashing station, and assist with cleaning.

You should find it easy to communicate and collaborate with your colleagues in the kitchen, as well as with the children and other staff at the school.

You are expected to drive development forward in the kitchen together with our team.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this role, you need a good palate and a genuine interest in food. You are curious, willing to learn new things, and able to organize your work. We consider it a given that you can collaborate easily and build good relationships with both children and colleagues.

To complement and match the chef team and to handle the responsibilities, we place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
