Since 2016, NITIU has been conducting advanced and customer-oriented technology development together with partners such as Alleima, Saab, and Volvo. The focus is on ultra-light load-bearing structures and solutions for the next generation of hydrogen transport and storage – an area at the center of the global energy transition. They are now taking the next step in their work with load-bearing structures and are therefore looking for two development engineers – one early in their career and one with experience from similar work – who want to take technology all the way from concept to industrial reality. The Role The role is broad and adapted to your experience. You work at the intersection of calculation, design, and industrial realization, contributing to the development of the design principles, manufacturing methods, and design choices that future products are built on. The work involves moving between calculation data, design choices, and manufacturing methods – where you practically influence how advanced concepts become possible to build and scale. You work closely with a small, high-tech team where theory meets reality, and where collaboration with industrial partners is a central part of everyday life. For you early in your career, the role means working closely with experienced colleagues and gradually taking greater responsibility in the development work. For you with more experience, the role involves greater responsibility in planning, technical trade-offs, and coordination with industrial partners, with the opportunity to contribute to technical project management. Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development of structures and manufacturing solutions
• Work on translating calculation models into manufacturable solutions
• Develop methods, fixtures, and processes for production
• Participate in and/or drive development activities linked to real industrial needs
• Work closely with partners where technology meets practical requirements
• Ensure quality, functionality, and scalability in solutions

You are a civil engineer in mechanical engineering. You can be early in your career or have several years of experience – the important thing is that you have a strong interest in technology development and are driven by turning theory into practical solutions in reality. Good language skills in Swedish and English are required, as is Swedish citizenship. Desirable Experience:

• Lightweight structures
• Technical project management (especially for more experienced candidates)
• Complex robot systems
• Regulatory requirements
• Product development from prototype to finished product
• Work in smaller, fast-paced organizations
