Are you a biomedical scientist and want to work in a small lab with close collaboration? We are currently two in the team and are now looking for a third colleague.
About Us
At S:t Eriks Eye Hospital, you will find Sweden's only laboratory for ocular pathology. At the laboratory, biomedical scientists prepare tissue samples so that the pathologist can perform a microscopic examination and make a diagnosis. Diagnoses are made on tissue from surgeries in the eye, eyelids, and orbits. We receive approximately 1,400 specimens annually from all over the country.
We offer independent work with the opportunity to contribute to research and development within ocular pathology.
About the Position
As a biomedical scientist, you will perform all common tasks in a histopathological laboratory. Your duties include preparing tissue samples, sectioning, dissecting, and staining, including both histochemical and immunohistochemical stains. Your work is also an important part of our research.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a licensed biomedical scientist. Experience with histopathological work is meritorious. You must have proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

You are accustomed to working independently, are meticulous, and easy to collaborate with. You can plan and drive your work forward on your own. We appreciate that you are comfortable making your own decisions. Our team is highly specialized and characterized by close collaboration between BMAs, pathologists, and our clinical partners. Therefore, great importance is placed on personal suitability.
Conditions
Permanent full-time position.
A six-month probationary period may apply. Start date by agreement.

Selection and interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis.
