Ing 2 is recruiting part-time soldiers for our combat units, GSS/T

Göta Engineer Regiment and the Engineer Battalion are now recruiting part-time group leaders, soldiers, and sailors for the combat units.

Göta Engineer Regiment, Ing 2, is Sweden's only engineer regiment. The regiment trains and recruits officers and soldiers for engineer units with specialized competence to perform qualified fieldwork for national and international tasks. The regiment also staffs several different combat units with a connection to fieldwork. We are currently looking for several future GSS/T soldiers for Ing 2 in various positions within the combat units. Platoons with vacant positions according to the list below. It is important that you have the right knowledge related to the position, so be clear about writing which position you had during your conscription as well as any relevant permits or directed knowledge you had in your position. For example, Mechanic - Tracked Vehicles, permit BV410.

• Command platoon including MC-orderly
• Staff and quartermaster platoon
• Repair platoon
• Machinery platoon
• KB5 platoon (Combat Bridge 5)
• Ferry and underwater demolition platoon including GEO competence
• Medical platoon

Requirements:

• Meet the Swedish Armed Forces' physical requirements for employment: Beeptest 8:8 and multitest 175 points
• Completed conscription or GSS/K in the applied position

Merits:

• Completed conscription in the applied position at Ing 2
• Completed international service in the applied position
• Driver's license at least class B (some positions)
• Driver's license class C or higher
• Had employment as GSS/K in the applied position

Documents to attach to application:

• Personal letter with a description of yourself and a life description both civilian and military
• CV with references – Write position as a conscript and possibly GSS/K employment as well as any permits
• High school grades
• Conscription grades (Preliminary if you are currently undergoing conscription)
• Other merit education/competence/experience
• Driver's license and possibly military permit
• Grades from international service with references (if applicable)

You will receive an email confirming that we have received your application. After that, we will review the application documents. You may then be called to the unit for interviews, physical tests, and medical examinations, this will be carried out during autumn 2026 for the majority.
