About the position

As the responsible nurse for nursing care, you work as one of three nurses at Birgittagården. You are responsible for the nursing care of approximately 25 residents, which means you need to have a holistic view of these individuals. Together with the team consisting of doctors, occupational and physical therapists, assistant nurses, care assistants, and the unit manager, you decide on and follow up on the measures implemented. Together with the other nurses, we also develop routines that facilitate the work, and our goal is to work uniformly across all our units.

The shifts are currently scheduled during daytime hours, with duty every sixth weekend. We currently have specialized nurses working evenings and nights, but some evening duty may become relevant in case of changes.

Your responsibilities include among other things:

• Nursing tasks focused on nursing care and dementia.
• Supervise nursing staff in various care matters.
• Delegate nursing tasks to the nursing staff.
• Provide telephone advice.
• Perform person-centered care, BPSD, and palliative care through NVP.
• Rounds.
• Team meetings.

About you

For this position, you need:

• To be a licensed nurse.
• A driver's license and driving experience.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is meritorious if you also have:

• Further education in elderly care/palliative care.
• Experience working in a nursing home.

At the same time, you are comfortable working independently, making assessments, and taking your own decisions when needed. The work is varied, which you need to feel secure with. Therefore, you need to have a flexible approach. You want to contribute to developing care quality and increasing patient safety in our special housing units.

Birgittagården is centrally located in Rimbo and has approximately 70 apartments with staffing around the clock, year-round. Our aim is to create a residence that we ourselves would choose to live in. We are fortunate that many of our residents stay with us for a long time, which gives us many memorable meetings with our elderly and their relatives. With us, you will join a work group with experienced and skilled nurses who work closely with the nursing staff.

Within Tiohundra, we have 9 nursing homes with dementia and nursing care places. Some of our residences also have short-term places. Important to us is the work with patient safety and person-centered care, which is facilitated by the fact that the company includes both elderly care and acute care.
