Do you want to help create a safe and meaningful everyday life for people with disabilities? Solvändan's group home in Rimbo is now looking for a nurse assistant or support assistant who wants to become part of our dedicated team.

About the role

Your role as a nurse assistant/support assistant is varied and based on each resident's individual needs, conditions, and wishes. You work with both care and service tasks, but the main focus of your assignment is to perform delegated health and medical care duties. We have eight permanent staff members supported by a large number of temporary staff, together creating a good quality of life for our residents. The position involves varying working hours, and shifts can be scheduled at any time of the day or night, including sleeping on-call duties.

Your responsibilities include among other things:

• Providing individual support and care based on the user's needs.
• Performing delegated medical tasks, such as medication management, wound dressing, catheter care, and checks of temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
• Documentation in the medical record system and active participation in care and implementation plans.
• Follow-up and reporting in case of changes in health status or care needs.

About you

For this position, you need:

• Nurse assistant education or other equivalent education.
• Experience in performing care tasks.
• Good digital competence, including experience working with medical record systems and Office programs.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• A valid driver's license (Category B) and driving experience.

It is an advantage if you also have:

• Experience and in-depth knowledge of the LSS Act (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments).
• Knowledge of low-affective handling techniques.

You are confident in your professional role, have good teamwork skills, and can work well both independently and in a team. You are structured, stable, and have an empathetic approach. For our residents, you are, in addition to support from your professional role, a service-oriented and creative fellow human being who sees the individual and creates security.

Solvändan's group home is located in Rimbo, a city with good commuting opportunities to both Norrtälje and Stockholm. Here, people with disabilities live in their own apartments with access to common areas. We work in teams with nurse assistants, support assistants, and a unit manager, and have close collaboration with healthcare services.
