What we offer you

We offer you a developing job and are looking for someone who is passionate about the joy of meals and has a genuine interest in food, meals, and people. In the preparation kitchen at Backstugan Preschool, breakfast, lunch, and snacks are served. In addition to on-site serving, we also deliver meals to the adjacent school. The work team consists of you as the cook and your colleague as meal staff, and together you will be responsible for approximately 190 portions per day.

The duties include preparation and cooking of food, meals, and special diets. Furthermore, all tasks that occur in a kitchen and restaurant are included, such as serving, self-control, dishwashing, and cleaning. There are also administrative tasks, such as ordering. You are expected to have a sustainable approach and utilize economic resources efficiently. In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence and develop your work in different work groups and forums. It also includes introducing new employees, and you may also become a supervisor for interns or participants in various labor market measures.

The position is a permanent employment with holiday service, 100% employment rate, with a working time of 40 hours/week starting 2026-08-17 or as agreed. You will be located at Backstugan Preschool.

Who are you

We are looking for you who have cook training or other training that the employer considers relevant, or alternatively work experience that corresponds to the educational requirement. You need to have worked for a few years as a cook and have experience with special diets. You have good computer skills and basic knowledge of the most common programs in Microsoft 365, e.g., Teams. To be able to read and understand work instructions, you need to master Swedish in speech and writing. The job also requires that you have good physical fitness and can handle heavier lifts. Experience working in Matilda or other diet data systems as well as Unit4 or other e-commerce systems is meritorious.

The Technical Administration is responsible for creating safe, functional, and sustainable environments for the municipality's residents, employees, and visitors. Within the meals department, approximately 200 employees work with preparing and serving meals. We are located at preschools, primary schools, leisure centers, high schools, and within the care administration.
