Do you want to work in a team with high competence and a strong willingness to collaborate, have the opportunity to participate in development work, and thrive in a creative environment? Are you interested in addiction treatment and psychiatry? Then this job is for you!
We are looking for
We are looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant (undersköterska/skötare) and are interested in working with patients with addiction issues. Previous experience with this target group as well as from laboratory operations/drug screening is meritorious.
We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. As a person, you are independent and flexible, adapting easily to changed circumstances. You have good collaboration skills as you value and see the benefit of working with others. We also look for someone who is confident in their professional role, shows empathy, and takes initiative.
What you will work with
Medication-Assisted Rehabilitation for Opioid Dependence (LARO) is a treatment program for heroin and opioid dependence. The treatment uses medications that, like heroin, affect the opioid system in the brain but have fewer side effects. LARO also involves rehabilitation regarding social situation, housing, and employment, often in collaboration with social services.
At the LARO unit at Sunderby Hospital, we work in a team together with nurses, psychiatric nurses, and psychiatrists.
As a nursing assistant, you combine patient-facing work with administrative tasks. You will be responsible for planning and conducting drug screenings, sample handling, referral registration, scheduling, invitations, and other documentation. Administrative tasks may also include responsibility for hygiene routines, unpacking, and receiving goods/materials. Some tasks may become overarching for the entire Psychiatric Outpatient Section.
Here, you will have the opportunity to develop your competence within addiction and psychiatry. Together with your colleagues, you will be involved in the section's development work, and we want you to enjoy your work.
What we offer you
- We offer you individually tailored induction based on your needs and knowledge, so that you feel secure in your work.
- Our section has an open, creative, and supportive climate with good collaboration.
- Development and career opportunities where you get to help shape the future of health and care.
