About the school

Practical Gymnasium in Skellefteå offers students a concept where theory is mixed with practical exercises both in school and at workplaces. At Practical, we hold ourselves to high standards to create the best conditions for a educational and fun education. Our teaching is characterized by flexibility, proximity, and practical learning. Our program offerings include: Construction and civil engineering, Vehicles and transport, Sales and service, Hotel and tourism, Electricity and energy, Care and nursing. Currently, the school has approximately 150 students and 25 employees.

In the autumn, the school will move to Brogatan to newly renovated premises near a football field, forest area, and sports halls. We are a small school where everyone knows everyone, and we help each other for the students' benefit.

Your role

The position is a permanent full-time employment, 100%, starting 10/8-25. You will teach and supervise our students in physical education and another subject, e.g., natural science, mathematics, and together with other colleagues, you will be part of a work team.

We see you as an important and driving force to develop the subject, with the students in focus and in collaboration with colleagues. In addition to subject-specific tasks, you have, like other teachers at the school, tasks such as mentor, and together you and your colleagues coach the students both socially and academically through their three years at Practical Gymnasium. We communicate primarily through Schoolsoft, and we work in a Google environment by sharing digital documents, calendars, and plans. This applies to both students and colleagues.

Your profile

We are looking for you who are a certified upper secondary school teacher in physical education and preferably more subjects. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. We value your ability to meet students based on their knowledge and needs, and that you identify with our values and keywords. Our students are eager to enter the working life, and your biggest task is to lead them there!
