Are you interested in working in a rural area with developmental tasks? We are currently looking for a nurse for our health center. Arvidsjaur Health Center is a distinct rural health center with engaged and supportive colleagues and a forward-looking attitude towards developing care with the patient at the center. In the heart of Lapland, you will find a calm and secure place where you have the freedom to explore and discover magnificent nature among sparkling lakes, snow-capped mountain peaks, and deep forests. Those who have moved to Arvidsjaur Municipality have mostly fallen in love with the nature, the people, and the quality of life here.

We are looking for

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse with knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing at C1 level, as well as computer literacy. It is meritorious if you have a specialist education as a district nurse, or education and experience of working with your own clinic regarding asthma/COPD, anticoagulation (AK), diabetes, heart failure, and/or blood pressure. Previous experience of working at a health center, with coordination or first-line mental health issues is also meritorious. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. You are independent, proactive, and structured. The health center consists of cross-functional competencies that all collaborate and have the patient at the center, a way of working that requires good teamwork skills among the staff.

What you will work with

Arvidsjaur Health Center is a rural health center with a doctor's clinic, district nurse, nurse, and assistant nurse clinics, a psychosocial team with counseling, mother and child health care, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, foot care, as well as a laboratory and X-ray. In addition, we have 24-hour operations with an emergency clinic and a general medicine ward with 6 beds. The health center also has an ambulance station that works partially integrated into our operations. At the clinic, we work in teams around the patients. In the team, you work as a nurse together with doctors, assistant nurses, care administrators/medical secretaries, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists with the patient at the center. In primary care, we are the hub in the patient's care, and we work with a focus on continuity; therefore, care coordination and a designated care contact are central.

The tasks included in the work as a clinic nurse include, among other things, counseling, digitally and via telephone, coordination and booking, emergency clinic duty, and clinic visits. During the planned clinic hours, you handle among other things wound dressings, care of central lines, catheter care (KAD), and stomas, as well as medication administration. You also have open clinic hours where you meet and assess patients with new symptoms. As a nurse in primary care, you are also responsible for annual check-ups and follow up on patients with our most common diagnoses. All nurses have follow-up visits for hypertension, and you will also have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge in areas such as diabetes, asthma/COPD, heart failure, or anticoagulants.
