Conducting assessments and observations could be your next challenge!

Steps to Work (STA) is a valuable and high-quality service procured by the Swedish Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen) with the ultimate goal of identifying resources and support needs as well as strengthening and developing the participant with the aim of employment or education.

Your main responsibility will be to manage the implementation of assessments and observations based on the following occupational therapy instruments:

• Model of Human Occupation Screening Tool (MOHOST)
• Dialog on Work Capacity (DOA)
• Worker Role Interview (WRI)
• Assessment of Work Characteristics (AWC)
• Assessment of Work Performance (AWP)

Areas of Responsibility:

• Conduct competency mapping to make participants' competencies, prerequisites, and interests related to the labor market visible
• Conduct qualitative assessments of our participants' abilities and needs
• Perform and provide support during observations in work-like conditions
• Use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to highlight participants' own resources and build trust in their own capabilities
• Through individual conversations, review areas such as Activity Patterns, Stress, and the Importance of Balance
• Responsible for following up and documenting jointly set goals after each part of the service
• Testing of assistive devices where relevant
• Collaboration with colleagues such as employment consultants, study and career counselors, and language support
• Collaboration and dialogue with the local branch of the Swedish Public Employment Service

The target group is job seekers who, due to various barriers, are far from the labor market and need individually tailored pre-employment measures to approach working life and/or start studies towards a profession.

To succeed in your assignment, we assess that you need a broad bank of experience and access to a solid personal toolkit from which to draw your recommendations.

You are responsible for our reporting to the client, so a strong aptitude for documentation will facilitate your work. Since the role involves many contacts within and outside the organization, you need to be skilled at building trusting relationships with people.

Terms of Employment

• Permanent position with a 6-month probation period
• Part-time to full-time, depending on agreement
• Location in Stockholm, preferably traveling between several of our different offices
