Do you want to work independently, close to patients, and meaningfully this summer? Spånga Health Centre is now looking for a registered nurse for the clinic for the summer period and continuing as a casual staff member.
Job Responsibilities
As a nurse at our clinic, you will work broadly with standard tasks within primary care. Your main responsibilities include:
- Telephone advice and medical assessment via phone
- Clinic work with your own nurse-led clinic
- Assessment and triage of patients
- Sampling, wound dressing, and vaccinations
- Handling acute patients in collaboration with doctors
- Collaboration with other professional groups at the health centre
The work is varied and requires independence, flexibility, and good teamwork skills.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
- Good teamwork skills but also comfortable working independently
- Responsible, flexible, and with a good attitude towards patients
- Good computer skills and experience with the TakeCare medical record system
- Valid driver's license (Category B)
- Experience in primary care
Additional qualifications such as District Nurse education are meritorious.

About Spånga Health Centre
At Spånga Health Centre, dedicated, competent, and friendly staff work in an open and welcoming atmosphere. We value a sustainable work environment, professional community, and competence development. We believe it is important to have a balance between work and private life and offer flexible schedules. Working hours can vary between 07:30–17:00, Monday–Friday, excluding public holidays.
The clinic is well-staffed, and most of our patients are offered a fixed doctor assignment. We are an established clinic with just over 44 employees. Here, district nurses, nurses, specialist doctors in general practice, resident doctors, assistant nurses, and medical secretaries work. The health centre also has a psychosocial team. We have approximately 16,500 registered patients and a home care service with approximately 130 patients.
The health centre is located close to commuter train and bus connections, 12 minutes by commuter train from Stockholm Central Station. Our area includes Solhem, Bromsten, Sundby, and Flysta, where the housing is of a small-town character.

To prevent the spread of MRSA, the Stockholm County Council Healthcare Area (SLSO) requires a health certificate before new employment and regulates the possibilities for healthcare staff to wear piercings. SLSO conducts background checks before employment decisions.

For patient-facing work within the Stockholm County Council Healthcare Area:
- Background checks are conducted before employment decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks upon employment.
- Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, which takes place through occupational health services before employment.
- In addition to Swedish professional licensure, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed staff with patient contact.
