We need a new occupational therapist for home rehabilitation – you are warmly welcome to join us!
We are looking for an engaged, responsible, and flexible occupational therapist who enjoys working in a team. We place great importance on personal suitability.
We are seeking an occupational therapist for home rehabilitation, and if possible, you can also work a few days a week at the clinic, preferably with work ability assessments or motor assessments for children. We are a large workplace with room for varied tasks and many colleagues. It is a great place for newcomers or those with extensive experience. Within our primary care mandate, we have a wide variety of patients, ensuring that no two days are alike.

Rehab Södra is a result-oriented unit within the Stockholm County Council (SLSO) and has a contract to provide primary care rehabilitation. Here, occupational therapists, dietitians, physiotherapists, chiropractors, counselors, speech therapists, and administrative staff work together. At our unit on Södermalm, approximately 48 people work, including 9 occupational therapists. It is a lovely group, with many involved in home visits.
About the position:
As an occupational therapist in primary care, you will meet patients of all ages and from different cultures. The patients have various diagnoses and disabilities.
In home rehabilitation, you work in a team with physiotherapists and conduct your own home visits. Tasks include; testing assistive devices, activity assessments, and training in the patients' homes and immediate surroundings.
We have established geographical teams for smooth transitions between visits and to maintain continuity in collaborations.
We offer benefits such as having a laptop with internet access during home visits, and some documentation can be done from home at the end of the day.
Our catchment area is Södermalm and Gamla Stan. We use electric bikes/manual bicycles to get between visits. Since we work in the patients' homes, you must be comfortable in environments with fur-bearing animals and not be sensitive to smoke odors.
Qualifications:
Licensed occupational therapist with a bachelor's degree.
We are looking for an independent person who, with energy, engagement, and flexibility, can help create improved quality of life for our patients. You are confident in your role as an occupational therapist and have good skills in prioritizing your work. You have a holistic view and see resources where others see problems. Previous experience in primary care and home rehabilitation is an advantage.
You enjoy moving around as we mostly use bicycles for our home visits.
Employment type:
Permanent, full-time 40 hours/week with flexible working hours. Start date by agreement.

The position will be filled provided it does not need to be reserved for internal relocation, according to current regulations.
For patient-facing work within the Stockholm County Council (SLSO):
- A register check is applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register checks upon employment.
- Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new hire examination, according to current directives, which takes place through the occupational health service before employment.
- Good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required, in addition to a Swedish professional license. The same requirement is guiding for non-licensed staff with patient contact.
